LO⚡ ECM & Engine Sensors Overview
This image shows various sensors and actuators connected to an ECM (Engine Control Module) in an engine system.
✅ Sensors (inputs to ECM)
MAP Sensor: Measures intake manifold pressure.
TPS (Throttle Position Sensor): Detects throttle opening.
Crank Position Sensor: Monitors crankshaft position & speed.
Intake Air Temp Sensor: Measures air temperature entering engine.
Speed Sensor: Measures vehicle speed.
O2 Sensors: Measure oxygen level in exhaust gas.
Engine Temp Sensor: Monitors engine temperature.
Bank Angle Sensor: Detects bike tilt or fall.
✅ Actuators (outputs from ECM)
Fuel Pump: Supplies fuel pressure.
Ignition Coil: Provides spark for ignition.
Injectors: Spray fuel into intake or cylinder.
Idle Air Solenoid: Controls idle speed air flow.
ECM collects data from sensors, processes it, and controls actuators to ensure smooth, efficient engine Operations.
