What you need to know about interacting with execs and senior leaders 👇🏼 The difference is (1) time (2) altitude. 1️⃣ Every hour of an executives’s time is scheduled. You need to get to the point more quickly, and make your presentations shorter than with anyone else you interact with. 2️⃣ Execs see from a completely different perspective. They’re thinking about the biggest company priorities and problems, from a high altitude, and constantly context switching between dozens of topics and sub-teams each day. It’s an information firehose. You want to break it, get their attention and hold it. Here’s how: 1. Know what’s important to them 2. Frame your message around that 3. Start your presentation with the ‘So What?’ 4. If you’re selling in an idea, use storytelling (not just data) 5. If you’re giving an update, keep it to 3 bullets 6. Plan for it to be more of a discussion than you speaking at them 7. Ask *them* questions (and prep for them to ask you) ⚡I talk about exec presence and communication in my free newsletter 👉🏼 link in the usual spot. #executivepresence #leadershipcommunication #executives#seniorleadership #communicationtips #publicspeaking #presentationskills #careeradvice #businesscommunication #influence #storytelling

Here are my top tips for communicating with executives. I’ve been an admin to the cofounder of a large consulting firm and the chief of staff to a senior VP of sales. I’ve managed their calendars and read their inboxes. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. Here’s what I’ve learned along the way. 1. Communicate in the way that your executive receives information, not in the way you’re most comfortable (I was a DISC facilitator and love this for understanding communication styles). 2. Keep your ask “above the scroll.” Execs are managing hundreds of emails a day, tell them what you need before they start scrolling to read the email. 3. If you have additional information, use lists, bullets, italics, bold and underline. Don’t bury information in paragraphs that they need to read. Often they are scanning an email - keep it easy to read like a resume, not a book. 4. If possible, give your executive a day or two to respond to you. They are juggling multiple priorities — and while your ask is important, it might not make their daily triage given other initiatives they are juggling. 5. Leverage your relationship with the executive’s team. Truthfully, they are often just as important as the leader themselves. Most will have daily check-ins with the leader (or the leader will prioritize getting back to their staff first). If the admin or COS knows you need something, they can remind the leader or even better, add it to their calendar block of “things to do today” to prioritize. After holding two roles adjacent to leaders, I know the quiet power they hold. 6. And a bonus, if you are sending an attachment but have a question about only one section, leave the attachment on the email but screen shot the part you need them to review. This takes out an extra step (and lots of scrolling) for them to find what they need. Okay, what did I miss? Would love to hear your other tips for communicating with executives. Executive communication sounds scary 😬 but it's simpler than you think. Interestingly, the principles of a👌🏼TikTok video apply directly to how you communicate with senior leaders in your company. Here's why: 1️⃣Time efficiency: You’ve got about 15-30s in a TikTok video to communicate to someone that you’ve got something to share, that they need to listen to. Same for execs. You always have less time with them, so all your comms need to be waaaay more concise. 2️⃣ Context: Executives have a broad perspective. Their view is from a higher altitude. Connect *your* topic to *their* priorities and problems they’re trying to solve. ✨ Tips ✨ 👉🏼 Quickly establish what you’re actually talking about and why they should care. It’s called the “What” and “So What” (aka why is this important to them, what big thing does your update connect to). 👉🏼 Start with the conclusion (the key takeaway, the answer, the request you have of them). Don’t take them on a journey. They don’t need all the details (and they’re very good at asking if they do). Get right to the meat. 👉🏼 Start simple (practice explaining you’re thing like you would to a smart 12 yo). It’s counterintuitive (surely I need to sound as smart and complex as possible!) but remember, they’re across 20, 30, 40 different topics and problems at any time for the business. No one ever gets upset by simple, clear and human communication. 👉🏼 Know what your ask is. What do you actually want them to do? By when? Be specific. 👉🏼 Don’t be scared — it’s just a person who was young once too and good leaders will remember exactly how it feels to be in your shoes and be nervous. 👉🏼If they rush you or sound direct/short, they ‘re probably not trying to be rude. If you hear them saying “yup, yup, yup” (it’s called chirping) it might mean that they know what you're talking about and you have permission to get to the point / cut some of the details. #executivecommunication #leadership #careeradvice #communicationtips #businessskills #successtips #careergrowth #personaldevelopment #genz #youngprofessionals #earlycareer #corporategirl #careeradvice #communicationskills

Why Almost Every Tech Field Stems From Network Engineering 🌐🔌 —and Why It’s the BEST Field in 2026 If you’re trying to break into tech in 2026, you need to understand this: almost every IT career path is built on networking. And that’s exactly why network engineering is the BEST place to start 👇 ✅ Networking Is the Foundation of ALL Technology Cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, AI, software, data… Every single one of them runs on networks. No network = nothing works. It’s the backbone of the entire industry. ✅ It Makes Every Other Path Easier Want to transition to Cybersecurity later? You’ll crush it because security is networking. Want Cloud? Cloud is networking. DevOps? Still networking. AI infrastructure? Definitely networking. Start with networking and the rest of tech becomes 10x easier. ✅ It’s Undersaturated & In High Demand Companies aren’t shrinking their networks — they’re scaling them. AI, remote work, data centers, fiber expansion… All of it requires more network engineers, not fewer. Meaning: you face less competition AND earn more long-term. ✅ You Become the Person Who Actually Understands How Everything Works While everyone else memorizes certs, you become the engineer who understands the real physical and logical layer of tech — the part AI can’t automate. If you want a future-proof, well-paid, high-demand career in tech… Network engineering is the move in 2026. 💬 DM me “Network” and let’s get you where you need to be.

Comment “SALES” and we’ll send you our weekly AI breakdown for execs. The godfather of SaaS just replaced most of his sales team with AI agents. Jason Lemkin revealed his company now runs 20 AI agents doing the work of 10 human sales reps. Each human rep was costing around $150,000 per year. The agents now handle lead qualification, outreach, scheduling, and follow-ups. They’re powered by tools like Salesforce Agentforce, Qualified, and Delphi. Humans didn’t disappear—small teams still close big deals and manage relationships. This is what modern SaaS sales actually looks like now.
