Loc extensions require no maintenance, once installed you get a retwist going forward no more crocheting. The same with instant locs, the instant locked part requires no more crocheting or maintenance ever. If a loctician tells you otherwise, don't get it done. Peace Out.

Reasons your locks are falling off the bone: 🦴 1. You should never find yourself taking your lock style down right before your re-twist appointment. In the long run, these habits will have your locks falling off the bone . You’re leaving your styles in way too long. You’re not giving your new growth a chance to become more solid and strong because your hair is always under a lot of tension. 🪢 2. If you’re not washing your hair and letting it breathe for a few weeks before your re-twist, don’t ask why your locks are or breaking. Your hair needs to breathe after you wash it, in in order for it to stay strong. 3. If you are going to see your Loctician every 2 to 3 months (as you should) your lock style should be out within the first month. WHY??? Because It’s way more important to have healthy locks, then for them to always be neat. If you always want your locks to be “neat” your lock journey will not last long.
