Thirteen-year-old Liliana has been involved in sports for the past three years. Before that, she did ballet and dancing. Her athletic performance had been limited by various postural and biomechanical deficiencies. Wanting to improve and reach a higher level in her sport, she turned to FP. After 1.5 years of training with @mario_suran once a week, you can clearly see a major shift. Her body now has far more structural integrity. Typically, a 13-year-old with that kind of posture would be on track to carry those imbalances into adulthood. These FP exercises will teach your muscles to work together as a (system).Think about it like this…When you move, every muscle on your body is involved in some way to produce motion. Your arms and legs swing back and forth when you walk. Your spine will bend and rotate with the hips as you run or go up a flight of stairs. What’s often referred to as “compound movements” in exercise, needs to be taken a step further to say that everything you do is a compound movement. This is where other training/rehab approaches fall short…They’re stuck trying to fix the body through one motion or joint at a time, failing to see the bigger picture of how we actually move as humans. But if you’re going to be “addicted” to something, it might as well be something that makes you stronger, more resilient, and healthier over time. @_michelle.johnson__ uses the @rg.bell and @theleverageking together, she’s training her body in ways that actually matter, building resilience that carries over to real life, not just the gym. The 30lb pendulum swing lunges were brutal on the left side, felt really good on my left hamstrings, quads and glutes.
