RUChasing the legendary Bloodbath guitar tone — one of my all-time favorite death metal bands.
For this tone, I’m using a Maxon OD808 as a clean boost, followed by the classic Boss HM-2 for that chainsaw character (not dimed — zero distortion, less bass and treble). After that, I’m running the much-hated Line 6 Uber Metal. I owned this pedal back in the early 2000s and hated it back then… turns out the problem wasn’t the pedal, it was me.
To keep this tone under control, I’m using two noise gates — one before and one after the HM-2.
What do you think? Does it get close?

Buscando el legendario tono de guitarra de Bloodbath, una de mis bandas favoritas de death metal.
Para este tono estoy usando un Maxon OD808 como boost limpio, seguido del clásico Boss HM-2 para ese sonido “chainsaw” (sin todo al máximo, con cero distorsión y menos bajos/agudos). Después uso el tan odiado Line 6 Uber Metal — pedal que odié en los 2000 y que hoy entiendo mucho mejor.
Para controlar esta bola de distorsión estoy usando dos noise gates, uno antes y otro después del HM-2.
