I was so afraid I was going to lose my mind out there. Day after day if not knowing if I was going to live or die…it’s enough to drive anyone insane. Sometimes, I still wonder how I managed. But i am grateful to be of sound mind and strong heart. 💛
All those days, i had no idea that anyone outside my family and my organization knew i was out there. Much less the sitting g president of the United States being updated on a daily basis on the situation of the American girl being held hostage in Somalia.
I hold these truths close to me still today. And I hope you can too.
You are stronger than you know, you have not been forgotten, and your hearts deepest desires will come to you- you may not think you are ready, but divine timing is always the right timing ✨✨

SAOn April 4, 1991, four Vietnamese refugees took over 40 other people hostage around 1:30 in the afternoon at a south Sacramento Good Guys electronics store.
The crisis would end around 10 p.m. with three hostages and three hostage takers dead. A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department sniper shot at one of the hostage takers and missed, which spurred the hostage takers to start shooting the hostages.
When the incident started, Al Bodnar was by a computer near the front door of the Good Guys electronics store. Bodnar, who is now 66 and lives in Folsom, was a Good Guys salesman.
On April 2, 2026, Bodnar reflected on the incident and how his faith kept him grounded 35 years later.

SHFinally got to see #Hostage in the wild in the @barnesandnoble near where I live on the upper west side of Manhattan. @eli_sharabi7 and @annabelsheldon know we tried to look for the book in October while on our tour, but next time you come to New York, we will have to check it out in my local bookstore and do a secret signing !!
