Like, if you choose Biology, be ready to spend months designing an experiment, realizing it doesn’t work, then rewriting everything the night before the deadline. If you choose Math, enjoy explaining concepts even your teacher struggles with, plus referencing papers that sound like they were written by aliens 👽. And don’t even get me started on the sciences in general — so many hours, so much data, and in the end… you get marked down because “your methodology wasn’t strong enough.” The truth is, most people who pick these “hard” subjects suffer way more than they need to. The Extended Essay is already 4,000 words of pain — why make it worse? The people who actually survive with their sanity intact are usually the ones who sneak in through the side door. And here’s the secret (don’t scroll too fast): the easiest EE subject, hands down, is your second language. Yup. English B, French B, Spanish B — whatever you take. You literally read, analyze, and write — no labs, no impossible math proofs, no failed experiments. Just essays and interpretation, which IB markers love. So yeah, while half the cohort is crying over failed data collection, the language EE students are vibing with their novels and short stories ✨. Choose wisely.
