“Organic” doesn’t mean what you think… In the U.S. organic labelling was created to standardize farming practices, not to signal anything about the health or nutrition of the food Here’s what the data actually shows: 1️⃣ It has the same nutrition 
Organic foods have been tested (repeatedly), and do not consistently contain any more vitamins or minerals than conventional foods do 2️⃣ “Organic” ≠ pesticide-free Every form of agriculture uses pesticides… Without them, crop loss would go crazy and food cost would be dramatically more expensive Although organic farming typically relies on pesticides derived from “natural” sources, natural doesn’t automatically mean safer (or less toxic) Several of the most commonly used organic pesticides actually score similar or higher on toxicology measures than conventional options do. And because they’re typically less effective, they may need to be applied at higher doses to protect crops 3️⃣ Organic isn’t automatically better for the planet either 
Organic farming does have some environmental advantages, but it also has some major disadvantages, not making it significantly “better” for the planet.
