HAThis weeks offering.. recently made pieces..✨
Every time I get the time to eco print garments, I am always in awe of this wonderful process.
Magical alchemy created by using just a few natural and simple ingredients.. leaves, water, fire, iron (from my pot) and fabric..
The most important ingredients being intention, presence and attention within the process.
After gathering and preparing what is needed.. taking some time to sit and connect with these elements.
Combining them in a way to allow a free flow of drawings, evoked and sparked by nature’s magic at hand.
Depending on the mixture and order of ingredients used..
channels open to infinite combinations, and many different outcomes.. two pieces never turning out the same.
This process is really one of my favourite aspects of making garments.
Mark making with nature, for me is like breathing life into the garments.
Always having been intrigued by this process and reading many books on how.. and finally after a very brief workshop I did with @oshala.earthforms not so long ago.. everything clicked and fell into place, to give me the confidence to start experimenting.
Every time I gather the ingredients and start.. I am constantly learning more through the process.
Experimenting over and over.. each time learning in a spontaneous way, which allows and teaches me how to slowly intuitively embody the practice more and more each time..
Forever inspired by the beauty that manifests in the process through my hands..
Each and every time the intention is sparked, I feel honoured to have within my hands the ability and power to choose to use this magic..
.. and that there are people who appreciate and support this practice, allowing me to keep making and making..:)
