THThe most underrated skill in leglocking is chaining attacks on both legs.
Your opponent can’t hide both legs at once.
That’s why being able to switch sides and keep the cycle of attacks going will massively increase your finishing rate.
During a leg lock shoot out, there are many ways to chase the finish. Some of these include:
- Invert/face roll to expose the heel
- Change entanglements
- Chain submissions (eg. heel hook → woj lock, ankle lock → heel hook, etc.)
However, the primary leg may not always be available to attack. This is where chaining leg attacks to the secondary leg is important.
Here, @lucas_kanard enters on the right leg from K guard. His opponent backsteps and retaracts it, he leaves his left leg behind exposed. Lucas switches, enters saddle on the left leg, and gets the finish from inside ashi.
