CLMAGIC LOOP 🪄
This is one of the more common ways to knit short circumference projects like socks! It's also useful for sweater sleeves if you only have a long circular needle, or fiddly bits of projects like fingers on gloves or mittens. This is my preferred way to make socks because it clicks in my brain, and a lot of sock patterns are written with magic loop directions. The most important thing to remember is that you need to have half of your stitches on each needle tip. I usually use 32" or 40" circular needles to work magic loop, because they give me the most cord length to work with.
A couple tips:
- keep your working yarn between the needles, do not wrap it over your needle when you change sides! you'll end up with extra stitches
- attach a removable stitch marker to the side with the tail yarn (this is your beginning of row!)
- you'll have a loop on each side of your project while you knit across your stitches
- move your stitches down onto the cord when storing your project so they don't slip off

The fluffy mohair texture is just so beautiful,
