The only exception to this rule is the exceedingly rare hand known as 13 Orphans. For example, East - West - South is not a meld, but East, East, East (東東東) is a valid one. Green - Red - Blue is not a meld, but Red, Red, Red (🀄️🀄️🀄️) is a valid one. #mahjong #mahjongtips #mahjongcommunity
