Check out this beautiful hybrid ceramic module! - I recently took a look at the Hybrid ceramic modules from inside an HP83000 IC test system out of one of the I/O boards. There are lots of interesting integrated circuits on these modules. If you want to see more of them under the microscope and at 4K resolution, check out the full video over on my YouTube channel, where I’ve been busy uploading re-edited shorts videos in an effort to clear space from my phone so that I could edit that video. - I’m skipping ahead a bit, but this module will be number 300 in the #ComponentsCloseUp series. There is a common collector stage there as well! But with some patience you can easily understand the role of each component present. Let's see the real circuit 👇🏻 Last reel shown how the change of the bias point of an amplifier leads to a change of operation class, from the linear class A down to class C. How to obtain the same effect with a simple circuit? 🤔 Using a BJT, it is possible to set up a voltage divider at the input which, by varying the trimmer resistance, can modify the bias point, i.e., the quiescent DC voltage at the input. By lowering this value, it is possible to decrease the conduction angle of the amplifier. Have a question?
