If you’ve ever wondered what our therapy assistants (and therapists) carry around all day… here’s a little peek inside Maddy’s @bambi.bags.au ! 👀👜🫧⭐️ Maddy is in her final year of Occupational Therapy at uni, and we are constantly blown away by the clinical thinking, curiosity, and care she brings to her work with kids and families. Being a great therapist isn’t just about the resources in the bag (although there are some good ones in there!)…. it’s about understanding why we use them, how to adapt them, and how to follow a child’s interests to build connection and skills. Maddy already does this beautifully. We feel pretty lucky to have such thoughtful future OTs learning and growing within our team. 💛 - Ps. you can also pick up Twister and games like Penguin Smash in op shops for cheap as chips, so don’t be afraid to go for a browse.🔎 #coastwidetherapy #futureot #occupationaltherapy #therapyassistant #connectionbeforecompliance

Have you met Anna?! Anna brings nearly nine years of experience supporting children in both outpatient and school-based settings. She is passionate about helping each child thrive in their daily life through a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and play-based approach. Anna focuses on building functional skills that support real-world independence and values close collaboration with families and caregivers, equipping them with strategies that extend beyond therapy sessions to foster meaningful growth at home and in the community! She has extensive experience providing interventions targeting fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, praxis and motor planning, self-regulation, and feeding therapy. Anna also has a special interest in ocular motor skills and experience screening for challenges that may impact reading, writing, balance, and safe navigation of the environment.
