This method helps me read music faster, especially when there are many ledger lines involved!
Ideally, it’s best to combine multiple approaches to reading notes when you are sight-reading. Sometimes you’ll be drawing from absolute information (notes that you know just by looking at them) and relative information.

JP🤯 Quite frankly, my favorite update as a film composer.
The transfer process of MIDI to notation and vice versa has always been one of the most time consuming and difficult tasks for me. This update helps make it a more seamless process for composers who like starting their music with notation and the ones who prefer to begin composing mockups.
Here’s how you copy and paste MIDI.
From Pro Tools into Sibelius:
1. Copy to clipboard MIDI data from a clip in an instrument track.
2. Go to Sibelius and in the home tab…
3. Click on the paste button with a dropdown menu.
4. Paste MIDI.
5. Sibelius will ask you to refine your settings before pasting, make sure you change what you need or click ok.
6. Voilà, you have now transferred the MIDI data into sheet music.

From Sibelius to Pro Tools
1. Copy to clipboard the notation from one of your staves
2. Go to Pro Tools and create an instrument track
3. Paste
4. Find one of your favorite instrument plugins.
5. Voilà, you have now transferred your notation into a DAW.

Symphony Pro is an iOS app designed for sheet music writing and musical composition. It allows users to create, edit, and play back scores directly on the iPad, making it useful for musicians, arrangers, and composers.
How to Use Symphony Pro
Creating a New Score
Open the app and select "New Score".
Choose the desired instrumentation.
Inserting Notes-Use the iPad stylus (Apple Pencil) or tap the screen to add notes.
The handwriting mode recognizes musical notation.
Editing the Score
Select a note and adjust its duration, pitch, or articulation.
