FASAVE THIS for Chesty coughs, muzzy heads and cold and flu relief.
All you need:
🥣 Basin
🥵 Boiling water
🌿 Eucalyptus/ olbas oil (not essential but it does help to give relief )
Towel
✅pour water into basin + add a few drops of oil
✅sit down carefully + put towel over your head
✅breath in and out (alternate between nose and mouth) coming up regularly for air
⏰ If you do this for about 10-15 mins you will get great relief.
It really relieves a chesty cough and helps to clear mucus. You can spit it out into the basin as you hack it up. Gives great headcold/ congestion relief too.
⚠️ be very careful with this boiling water. Make sure no children are near and that basin is in sufficiently from edge of table and towel does not catch basin
⚠️ This should feel comfortable. If water is too hot let it cool a little before putting towel over your head
⚠️🔞ADULTS ONLY . The HSE advises: do not let children breathe in steam from a bowl of hot water because of the risk of scalding.
👶🏻 👧🏼 For children you can help their symptoms with steamy bath or shower while they sit in bathroom .
♨️A warm/cold mist humidifier is excellent for kids too. I bought the Vicks warm mist humidifier in Argos years ago and it helped me through all 3 boys’ coughs and colds.
