electrical terms, the power of a circuit is defined by the relationship between voltage and current. Using the formula P = V \times I, where V is voltage and I is current, 1000V represents high electrical "pressure." For example, if a 1000V source provides 1A of current, it generates 1000 Watts (1kW) of power. 1000V is technically the threshold where low voltage transitions to high voltage. Higher voltage is more efficient for long-distance transmission because it allows the same amount of power to be delivered with lower current, significantly reducing energy loss as heat.
