RAIt was called Crabsect (removing the Para) I also had like lots of ideas for it so ill paste them here:
Basically an alternate Paras evolution, I called it Crabsect before I actually drew it. (Now it looks a bit more like a spider-)
Paras would evolve into crabsect if specific requirements are met, the main one being a very high friendship with the trainer. This is because it’s like… Based on how much effort you would put into helping it. I also think it’d be cool if the amount of things it’s eaten also played a factor, since the mushrooms on paras suck out all the energy n nutrients.
Crabsect would be faster and has stronger attacks than Parasect, but it in return becomes more frail, with less defense. It is still recovering after all!
Some fun facts:
-The silk around its body is sort of to protect itself. It’s wrapped around the area where the mushrooms were most prominent, and the area is very sensitive.
-Crabsect would be terrified of mushrooms and other fungi, probably don’t put it an amoonguss in the same room together!
-Crabsect would most likely be very hesitant to people, especially after first evolving. Once it remembers its trainer, it’s somewhat clingy!
-Crabsect cannot be found in the wild, it takes someone’s direct intervention to save the paras to let it evolve.
