GU🧐Play Spot the difference - Same sewing pattern - two different versions! 🧐
I love customising sewing patterns to my own preference and this can be some really simple small things that are easy to do but make a big difference! It helps you get more value out of the same pattern!
I used the @fibremood Norma Blouse to make these two completely different tops!
On the white version I used our yarn tufted dobby fabric (more coming into stock soon). This version has the sleeves lengthened by 2 inches and the bodice lengthened by 5 inches. I also added a centre back pleat by cutting it 1 inch away from the fold. I French seamed all the seams and finished off the neckline and button band with the facing that comes with the pattern.
On the gingham version I used 4 coloursways of the @atelierbrunette gingham double gauze. Sleeve and bodice length is standard. I raised the neckline by 4 inches and rounded it out. I finished off the neckline with bias binding and cut out a grown-on button stand (there’s a tutorial for that on my blog).
