I was itching to make a Maiden Lane from an upcycled tablecloth and I finally did it 🌼 I loved this daisy embroidered tablecloth I thrifted and thought the lace trim was really pretty so I used it down the center front of the bodice and on the hem. The puffed sleeves view A of this pattern normally gather into a little cuff but to make the most of the trim, I left them loose. Instead of a neck facing, I finished with a narrow bias tape so the facing wouldn’t show through on the center front lace. This pattern has served me well this summer! It’s such an easy style to pull on, pair with cute earrings and sandals...and go! CELESTIAL WRAP TOP Drop is Friday March 6th at 5pm EST 💕 I had just enough of this cotton to make this. ☺️ Dark blue & all the outlines have a slight shimmery gold to them. I don’t often gravitate towards these types of designs, but when I found this fabric at a garage sale it was something special. Something different. I just know I have some girlies on here who are going to love it. I am getting loaded with questions about a pattern. I may make one in a year or so. But I currently do not possess the knowledge to make a pdf pattern, I’m not interested in making individual physical copies. I also just straight up don’t think I want to be an educator. I don’t sew at a beginner level & I don’t really know how to communicate to that audience. I sew fast and accurate, I rarely use pins. I’m fantastic at the fiddley bits naturally. I’ve always been a problem solver & jump into doing hard stuff blind. I’ll keep at something until I’m really good at it. So I just don’t think teaching is in the cards when I love being the student.
