LUI get a lot of questions about my process so here is a step-by-step explanation which you can see in the video:
1️⃣ paint an image using water-based inks or paints onto a glass or perspex plate (not shown)
2️⃣ let fully dry
3️⃣ once dry, select your substrate. you will get different effects depending on your substrate type, the heaviness of the paper, whether its textile, etc. I used handmade Japanese paper.
4️⃣ wet your substrate & dab it dry. I like to print when it’s damp, still cool but not dripping
5️⃣ place your substrate carefully onto your image/printing plate. I use a piece of paper to protect from bleeding.
6️⃣ time to print! I use a roller/beater but you can use your hands and apply even pressure, or a wooden spoon or press
7️⃣ once you’re happy with the image, lift carefully and voilà - you’ve got a monotype!
I love this method but there are so many different ways to print monotypes, chime in and share your experiences! Happy printing 💛

CAJust because I can’t see doesn’t mean I don’t want my home to look nice for everyone else 😂😂 I understand why people would be curious though, What is initially do the screen because they are textured forgot a Perspex screen so they were kind of pointless to touch 😝 Video description video shows Clare talking to the camera with her long blonde hair down or in a Darth Vader T-shirt. Pans to the wall behind her where there are 14 pictures in frames on the wall. They are all a combination of black white and grey prince that she made herself.
