DYWhat it’s like listening to other PhD experiences as someone who’s really enjoyed the majority of mine- I won’t pretend there haven’t been difficult situations but I’ve not personally experienced anything worse than the standard workplace conflict I’ve had in other jobs and that should be the standard- many students experience outright abuse during their PhDs and is more normalized than it should be.
