It’s no secret that our favourite family run pizza delivery shops in Belfast, Pizza Guyz, create delicious handcrafted pizzas, so we were delighted to hear that they’ve opened a brand new branch on the Ormeau Rd, and we jumped on the tandem to have a look.
With No.1 ratings on Tripadvisor and Just Eat, and as finalists on TV show Takeaway Titans, Pizza Guyz are already well established in North & West Belfast. Having won the best Pizza Takeaway in the NI Takeaway Awards, their passion for delivering the ultimate pizza experience guarantees piping hot pizza or it’s free. Not only that, the hand-picked delivery drivers will stop at nothing to ensure the friendliest and most efficient service in Belfast.
All meat is selected and sourced locally, the cheese is 100% buffalo mozzarella, the veggies are all organic, and gluten free and vegan alternatives are available-just ask!
Pizza Guyz offers a wide choice of signature pizzas and great value deals but also encourage the customer to be a pizza “vigilante” and create their own bespoke masterpieces. We not only chose our own toppings, but Ciaran gave us the opportunity to get “hands on” and make our very own pizzas from scratch, which also allowed us to check out the fabulous, new ‘state of the art’ premises.
So how did we get on? Although we were secretly delighted with our efforts-our take on a “Napoli” with tuna, anchovies and black olives, and a spicy chicken and veg pizza with lots of pickled jalapeños- we think next time we’ll leave it to the Pizza Guyz experts!
And of course, we can never resist a generous portion of Pizzaguyz’ “Cheesy Jalapeño Dough Balls”; incredible, freshly made, belly-busting swirls of perfectly baked pizza dough, crammed with the ooziest mozzarella and lots of fiery pickled chillis. Quite honestly, the best dough balls we’ve ever tasted. And we also had some of Pizza Guyz new sugary chocolatey churros.
There are even more exciting plans ahead. We had a sneak peek at an incredible new project, but we’re sworn to secrecy! Watch our stories over the next few days for a clue and see if you can guess what Pizza Guyz have in store in the very near future!
