On 25th , at 7.17pm , Papa called me and said- “ Beta ek good news hai.” I immediately said - “ han papa bolo bolo ( as after 14th Aug this was the only good news I was expecting regarding you) “. Then he said- “ Ek senior officer ka call aya tha abhi and unhone btaya ki Deepak ko Shaurya Chakra milra hai”. You truly showed that you were ‘ No Ordinary’ ! I was super proud bhai , super but at the same time I got emotional too but was holding up. My phone was flooded with your coursemates’ calls and msgs. But the moment I saw your picture & the word written in bracket, my heart broke. It was just so painful. I couldn’t control myself. You deserve everything bhai. All the honour, love, respect, admiration and what not. But how wonderful it would have been if you would be the one breaking this news to us about your Chakra! Handling both Pride and Pain together is a big task ! Trust me bhai your family, coursemates, friends, seniors , juniors and whoever knows you is just so so proud of you ! But at the same time miss you so much. Especially your Ma ji and Daddy Cool, they are immensely proud of you as always. On 26th they were invited as Chief Guest in the society and they made sure that they represent you v.well so that you must be proud of them too. We all are standing so tall with our heads up because we are your family, Captain Deepak Singh Shaurya Chakra !
