Most photographers leave it on Auto… and then wonder why their previews look overly warm, too contrasty, or totally different from shot to shot.
Switch it to Standard instead.
Even if you shoot RAW, this helps your LCD + histogram stay accurate so your photos look consistent all day — especially when lighting changes constantly at weddings.
Small tweak, big difference.
✨ Quick breakdown of the others:
- Auto: inconsistent, changes scene by scene
- Standard: vibrant, true “Canon color”
- Portrait: warmer + flattering for skin (also a great option)
- Neutral/Faithful: flat look, best for editing
- Landscape: punchy greens + blues
- Monochrome: black + white preview
(Heads up.. if you shoot RAW, Picture Style only affects your preview — not the actual file — but it helps you gauge tone + exposure more accurately in the moment)
