I used thrifted bedsheet ( inside fabric) , doona cover I dyed with Rit cocoa brown ( thanks @minimalistmachinist for your influence 💕) and binding is mens cotton shirt.. all found in my local opshop💫 I still need to install snaps .. but it can wait . Batting is combo of wool ( body ) and bamboo ( sleeves) . ✨If you’ve been dreaming about sewing a quilt jacket but feel a little nervous to start, you’re not alone. ✨After lots of searching, I gathered 6 quilt patterns that are trendy, have the right drape, and would be perfect for quilted jackets and coats—they’’re all officially on my to-make list! 
👉🏼 Comment JACKET and I’ll send you the links. (Ps - Save this for when you’re ready!) ✨Audrey’s quilted hoodie was my very first quilt coat, and here’s my number one tip—the one that made all the difference:
Make a demo first. I used old towels (they’re thick like a quilt) so I could test the fit and construction before cutting into a precious quilt—and I’m so glad I did. It gave me the confidence to finally do it! ✨After my mock-up, I made three small but important changes:
1️⃣ Lengthened the sleeves and body hem about 3”
2️⃣ Gave the neckline a little more room (about 1” at the shoulders)
3️⃣ Added a scalloped hem by tracing a bowl and finishing it with bias binding to gently hug the curves ✨If sewing a quilt jacket is something you’ve been longing to try—but indecision or fear of choosing the wrong pattern has held you back—this is your sign. ✨I’ve gathered 6 great quilt jacket patterns so you don’t have to guess.
