😱👖Was this worth it for £5.28?!👖😱 I've wanted to try this for so long and finally got around to dying my fave black jeans in the washing machine. I got these last spring from John Lewis for £60. I've worn them so many times that they've gone grey. They seemed ideal for home colouring so I bought a dye pod for £5.28 and gave it a go. I was slightly nervous that the dye would end up on other things after colouring but the process involved a wash with the dye, a wash with laundry detergent and then a wash to clean the machine. In total, around 10-12 hours of the washer being on. I've no idea what they might equate to in terms of water costs, especially as we're now on a meter, but it seems to have been worth it because the jeans are like new! They even fit a bit better after dying too as it seems to have firmed up the material somehow! Given that these jeans are still £75 in the shop, this was a much better solution and I've revived my good old faithful jeans to hopefully get another year of wear out of them.
