Prayers appreciated. He has been diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia(IMHA). They just started the first transfusion. The next 24-48 hours of this process will be telling depending on how he responds to transfusion. Prayers needed. It’s a 50/50 survival rate right now. WE need a break so the more prayers the better! It’s gonna cost me a mini fortune but he is worth every single penny! As for my health, my body is not tolerating the stress of it all. I am advocating for myself and at the doctor to see if this Plavix my vascular dr has me on is causing me to feel so bad. Praying they listen and can advise about negative reactions to Plavix and the link to my recent high ANA. I think I have something autoimmune induced by this med. Advocating is tough stuff but if you don’t think outside of the box… this practicing medicine will kill you! It’s hard educating yourself but I truly am working on being my best version and feeling my best! If you are not feeling your best I see you! In January, Sadie was diagnosed with SARDS. We were told there was nothing more they could do. Sudden blindness. Before we had answers… before we found a protocol… I would lay my hand on her and pray, “I believe.” And this scripture kept rising in my heart: “All things are possible for those who believe.” — Mark 9:23 Looking back, her story didn’t start with blindness. She developed a cough after a vaccine, which we believe may have been kennel cough that turned into pneumonia. After that, her little body seemed to spiral. Her immune system went into overdrive. Her thyroid levels shifted. Her energy dropped. And then her vision was gone. As I prayed for direction, I felt led to search for healing stories in dogs that were blind. That’s when I found a community walking through the same diagnosis — and we learned of a veterinarian who believes SARDS may have an autoimmune component and created a protocol that can help if started within the first three months. Timing mattered. And we were incredibly grateful our lifelong vet was willing to walk it out with us. We didn’t just pray for healing —I specifically asked God to restore her energy, to make her feel like a puppy again. Today, she’s lost 3 kg. Her thyroid is stabilizing. Her energy is back — truly puppy-like again. We’re not out of the woods yet, but thanking God the miracle is in motion. We give all glory to Him. He is the Healer. Sometimes He moves miraculously. Sometimes He leads us to wisdom and medicine. Sometimes He does both. Fetch is my favorite part of our daily routine (& Django’s obviously). When Django went suddenly blind from SARDS, he couldn’t even walk more than 5 feet away from my front door. He was frozen in fear because his world was dark now. With lots of positive reinforcement training & confidence building we are now back to daily fetch running in the field, daily long walks, and he even comes on hikes! You may have seen in my stories that my beautiful boy Benkö has lost his eyesight ❤️ He has something called SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome), which supposedly means that he has become completely and permanently blind. Benks is a special case, seeing as he is so young and this kind of thing usually happens to older dogs and of larger breeds 🤷🏼‍♀️ but he is a special soul after all. If you have a blind dog, I would love to know your tips for how I can support Benkö. Especially any advice for the initial adjustment period. He is very stressed and confused at the moment which of course is breaking my heart into a million pieces. I did connect with a pet psychic who has been communicating with his higher self and the message was: “He hasn’t lost or forgotten what the beautiful world looks like. He’s looking at it everyday in his memories and that helps him put the smells and senses to the visions of his recollection. He’s happy and he’s loved and that makes him feel safe and secure” 🥹🐾 Ps. Benkö loves prayers! Feel free to send all the sweetest, most encouraging, uplifting blessings his way ✨🌈🌳🐶🦋🦴🌼

Two months after this video Ella has gained almost 10lbs and is fully blind. I’m absolutely beside myself. Although I am thankful that she is still here with me, and that the prognosis is “okay” with SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration) instead of a brain tumor or something, I have already lost a huge part of my baby. Her spunk is only there about 10% of the time. Watching her be so lost and confused - walking into a bathroom or a corner instead of to the door - is heartbreaking, and I find myself breaking down in tears multiple times a day when I see her struggle. She is truly an angel sent to me from God, and it hurts to watch her suffer. I want to do nothing but sit with her snuggle her all day every day. But instead I have to leave her with others who love her too, for 12 hours at a time. Although I know she is loved and so well taken care of, the anxiety it causes me is unreal. To all those who have grieved blindness, sickness, or death of a pet - I am sending YOU so many hugs💔😭 Ongoing prayers for her navigating this rapid-onset blindness would be more than appreciated. 🫶🏻Like and share for awareness 🫶🏻Comment if you are familiar with SARDS or perhaps your dog has this awful syndrome as well 🫶🏻Follow my page for health awareness and support First signs and symptoms of SARDS can be the same as for Cushings Disease (and about 1/3 of dogs end up diagnosed with both), which can include: 🐶 increased thirst and hunger 🐶increased urination frequency 🐶increased weight (sometimes rapidly) 🐶lethargy, change in activity 🐶confusion, staring at walls, bumping into things 🐶balance issues #ellabella #mybabydog #dogmom #SARDS #sardsawareness #cushingsdisease #myangel #sardsawareness #sardssupport
