🍉😲 How Fruits Looked Before Humans 🌿 The fruits we eat today didn’t always look sweet and colorful. Long ago, wild fruits were often smaller, less juicy, and filled with large seeds. Over thousands of years, humans changed them through farming and selective breeding. Here’s how some fruits originally looked. 🍌 Bananas – Wild bananas were full of large hard seeds and very little soft fruit 🍉 Watermelons – Early watermelons were pale inside with less sweet flesh 🍎 Apples – Much smaller and far more sour than modern apples 🥕 Carrots – Originally purple or white and much thinner 🍑 Peaches – Once tiny fruits with thick pits and little edible flesh Over time, agriculture transformed wild plants into the tasty fruits we enjoy today. 💬 Which fruit surprised you the most? 👉 Follow @decoded_wrld for more surprising facts, hidden history, and amazing discoveries. 🎥 Video Credit: DM for credits/removal to the real owner. . . . #decodedwrld #fruitfacts #foodhistory #naturefacts #fyp

PLEASE READ: This video demonstrates a principle in neuroscience called selective attention — the brain’s natural process of filtering and prioritizing information based on what it believes is relevant. Some people WILL absolutely notice the yellow vase and other colors. This is normal. Brains differ in how broadly or narrowly they filter information. Factors such as attentional style, nervous system state, novelty sensitivity, creativity and individual differences can all influence what enters conscious awareness. The instruction to focus on blue objects was not intended to deceive. It was used to illustrate how easily attention can be directed, and how that direction influences what the brain brings into the foreground. This reflects an everyday process. Our brains are constantly filtering reality — not to mislead us, but to help us manage the overwhelming amount of sensory information we receive every second. This video is an example of that process, not a test, diagnosis, or judgment of anyone’s perception. Please keep comments respectful and regulated. Any aggressive, hostile, or abusive comments will be deleted and accounts may be blocked to maintain a safe and constructive space.

1. They give a lot, but rarely feel truly met They are generous with empathy and support, yet few people know how to care for them in the same depth. 2. They are selective with emotional access Kind does not mean naive. They protect their inner world and don’t bond easily with everyone. 3. They notice subtle shifts in energy and behavior They sense inconsistency, hidden intentions, and emotional dishonesty early, which naturally creates distance. 4. They prefer depth over frequency Many acquaintances do not replace one safe, genuine connection. They would rather be alone than feel misunderstood. 5. They are often the emotional safe place for others People vent, unload, and lean on them, but don’t always stay or reciprocate once they feel better. 6. They value peace more than belonging They walk away from groups, dynamics, or friendships that feel draining, performative, or misaligned. 7. They learned early to be self-sufficient Because they had to be emotionally strong for themselves, they don’t cling to connections out of fear. 8. They are often misunderstood as distant In reality, they are just careful about who gets access to their softness. Being kind does not mean being surrounded. Sometimes it means being discerning. And that is not loneliness. That is self-respect. 👉 Check the link in my bio for private support to break free from toxic patterns and relationships 👈 ❣️ Follow for more ❣️ #emotionalintelligence #innerwork #healing #relationships #relationship

🤣 Couples who have been married for decades often say the real secret is knowing when to let things go. Psychologists who study long term relationships have found that selective attention, sometimes called “positive illusion,” is one of the strongest predictors of marital satisfaction. Partners who gently tune out small annoyances and focus on what they love about each other consistently report higher happiness. After 60 years together, this grandpa clearly figured that out and turned it into the perfect joke. (@megssmahoney via Collab) #funny #family

Comment ‘GUIDE’ to learn how I built a business from posting reels like this and I’ll send you my free guide ✨ She’s not touch-averse. She’s selective. Physical closeness feels good to her only when she feels emotionally safe. When there’s trust. Consistency. Effort. Mixed signals, or forced intimacy don’t feel good to her. She needs to feel respected first. When she chooses closeness, it’s because she actually feels comfortable — not because she’s trying to please anyone. ✨ Follow @heruntamedlove for daily reminders of the kind of love you deserve ❤️

So i've actually gone too far in the "Let them go" direction in the past, and i've been a jerk, which was unnecessary. That being said, I do think there's quite a lot of value in being extremely selective about the people you keep in your circle. As you prune the apple tree to let it bear the best fruit, so too should you prune your friends.

I can’t👇 So we’re demonizing selective breeding now? Because it’s only one of the MOST important agricultural innovations of our time… Sorry, but I’m not having it, @theprimalbod Here’s the deal: 1️⃣ Selective Breeding = safer, more nutritious, and more sustainable food. Saying carrots aren’t real food because of selective breeding is like saying modern medicine isn’t real because Paleolithic humans didn’t have antibiotics. Selective breeding has allowed us to develop safer, tastier, and more nutritious foods over thousands of years. Yes, wild carrots (like Queen Anne’s lace) once existed, but this fact only proves why selective breeding is NECESSARY—it enhances their safety, taste, and nutrient density for human consumption. PMID’s: 31231527, 37770615 2️⃣ Carrots are a nutritious, whole food. This☝️nonsensical video has millions of views, yet 90% of Americans aren’t eating enough vegetables—and chronic disease risk continues to rise. Carrots are loaded with fiber, vitamin A, antioxidants, and beta-carotene, which support heart health, immunity, vision, and lowering inflammation. PMID: 31546950 Imagine if more people knew the truth about carrots instead of falling for baseless, viral fear-mongering? Maybe more of us would find reasons to eat MORE OF THEM…. 3️⃣ Carrots are NOT Plan B. There is zero scientific evidence that eating modern carrots in 2026 causes fetal harm, miscarriage, or reproductive issues in humans. In reality, diets rich in antioxidants and fiber are linked to: •Lower risk of maternal/fetal complications during pregnancy •Better birth outcomes •Reduced risk of chronic disease at large PMID’s: 30319090, 15523086 Bottom line: EAT MORE CARROTS 🥕 If we follow the logic that only foods available to early humans are “real,” none of us would be alive to read this caption in the first place. 1. Their energy becomes selective, not low. They still show up for work, obligations, and surface conversations, but disappear from anything that requires emotional presence. Messages get answered, but depth vanishes. This isn’t laziness, it’s conservation. When the nervous system is overloaded, it cuts optional connections first. 2. They stop sharing good news. Wins, small joys, even funny stories quietly disappear. Not because nothing good happens, but because celebrating feels unsafe or pointless. One person said “I don’t want questions to follow”. Silence protects them from explaining what they can’t articulate. 3. Humor changes tone. Jokes become sharper, darker, or overly self-aware. Laughter still exists, but it deflects instead of connects. Psychology shows humor often becomes armor under stress. If you listen closely, the joke usually points at exhaustion. 4. They become hyper-functional. Everything is handled, nothing is felt. Bills paid, tasks done, responsibilities met. Emotional topics get redirected or minimized. This isn’t strength, it’s survival mode. The system prioritizes control when internal stability is shaky. 5. The biggest sign is absence without drama. No complaints, no breakdowns, just quiet distance. People assume they’re fine because there’s no signal. That’s usually when it’s heaviest. If this sounds familiar, who around you went quiet instead of asking for help? ‼️ Write “health” in the comments and I’ll explain how to support someone in this state without pushing, fixing, or making them shut down even more.
