Learn more at https://aimlcompanion.ai Part 1 - LLM Architecture and inferences 1. Tokenization: Text is split into sub-words/bytes, then mapped to token IDs the model can process. 2. Embeddings: Each token ID becomes a dense vector encoding semantic meaning and context potential. 3. Next Token Prediction: The model predicts the most probable next token, one step at a time. 4. Temperature: Scales logits -> low = deterministic, high = creative but risky. 5. Top-K / Top-P: Restricts sampling to likely tokens to avoid nonsense outputs. 6. KV Cache: Stores past attention keys/values so generation doesn’t recompute history. 7. Beam Search: Explores multiple token sequences in parallel and picks the best overall path. 8. Context Window: The maximum number of tokens the model can attend to at once. 9. RoPE: Injects relative position info directly into attention using rotations, not embeddings. 10. Flash Attention: Memory-efficient attention via tiling + recomputation, enabling longer contexts. 11. Self-Attention: Tokens attend to each other using Query, Key, Value projections. 12. Multi-Head Attention: Multiple attention spaces learn different relationships in parallel. 13. Causal Masking: Prevents the model from seeing future tokens during generation. 14. Transformer Block: Attention + MLP + residuals + layer norm = one reasoning step. 15. Softmax: Converts raw logits into a probability distribution over the vocabulary. LLMs don’t think, they compress patterns from massive data & predict the next token extremely well. #genai #artificalintelligence #generativeai

The language of mathematics reflects the reality of mathematics. Mathematics is not a language, mathematics is the nature of dimensionality, the structure of potentiality. We create conventions for the purpose of communication and in our modern culture there are these conventions with which we use to communicate this abstract structure. Not only between each other but also two computers and in engineering systems. Sine and cosine our relationship, they are the relationship between the angle and the part of the triangle that produces the curve. When you observe this animation consider the following symbolic expression. The sine of the the arc length (angle measured by the length of the arc) is a number or length represented by the vertical line in the triangle. This sentence can be represented more succinctly in symbols as follows. sin(angle) = vertical length or y = sin(a) The cosine of the the arc length (angle measured by the length of the arc) is a number or length represented by the horizontal line in the triangle. This sentence can be represented more succinctly in symbols as follows. cos(angle) = horizontal length or x = cos(a) Sometimes we also say y = cos(a), depending on the context. #Mathematics #Education #MathematicsEducation #Enlightenment #Spirituality #Meditation #Math #Maths #ComputerScience #Coding

Inside every Transformer model is a hidden geometry lesson. 📐🤖 When we talk about token embeddings in Transformer architectures, we’re really talking about mapping words into a high-dimensional vector space where meaning becomes math. Each token is converted into a dense vector. Words that share semantic meaning cluster together. Similarity isn’t guessed. it’s measured through dot products and cosine similarity. What makes this powerful is structure. Relationships between words are preserved as directional offsets in the vector space. That’s why the classic example works: King − Man + Woman ≈ Queen This isn’t magic. It’s linear algebra powering large language models like GPT, Gemini, and Claude. Embeddings are the foundation of modern NLP, semantic search, recommendation systems, and generative AI. They transform language into geometry and geometry into intelligence. Have you ever felt that Linear Algebra floats a bit too far from intuition, almost abstract for the sake of it?  Let’s bring it back down to earth: geometry, color, and one clear guiding idea.  The First Isomorphism Theorem isn’t an abstract trick — it’s a story you can actually see. 📐✨ Any linear map f:V→W can be taken apart into three essential moves. Here we visualize them with a color code that isn’t decorative, but logical. 1️⃣ Projection (π\piπ) We start from the original space V (🔵). We identify vectors that differ by an element of the kernel and build the quotient space V/ker⁡(f) Geometrically, arrows stop mattering: what used to be different directions collapses into points (equivalence classes). 2️⃣ Isomorphism (f~) This is the heart of the story, the bridge (🟢). This is where the “real” transformation happens. The classes of the quotient are sent directly to the image of fff. No information is lost: since the determinant is ≠0\neq 0=0, the shape may deform, but the structure — the volume — is preserved. 3️⃣ Inclusion (iii) Finally, we place that result inside the target space W (🔴). What were points in the image now germinate again as vectors living in the whole codomain. 🌟 The magic of commutativity The yellow vector v says it all without words: going the long way around the bottom is exactly the same as applying f directly across the top. f=i∘f~∘π The theorem doesn’t say “something complicated.” It says that every linear map can be understood as collapsing, deforming, and embedding. Mathematics isn’t only calculated — it’s also seen. Does this color code help you follow the flow of the transformation? I’d love to read your thoughts 👇 MerlinoMath #maths #math #physics #linearalgebra #merlinomath

𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺! Here’s a visualization on how Large Language Models (LLMs) use word embeddings to transform text into high-dimensional vectors. These vectors capture the semantic relationships between words, allowing the model to understand context and make accurate predictions. By leveraging self-attention mechanisms within the transformer architecture, LLMs consider the entire sequence of text to generate the next word. In Transformer models, token embeddings convert words or tokens into high-dimensional vectors, where distance in this space reflects semantic similarity. Tokens with related meanings naturally end up positioned close to one another. These embeddings are dense and learned during training, enabling the model to compare tokens using operations like dot products or cosine similarity. Beyond simple distance, the space also captures meaning through directional relationships. Because of this structured geometry, embeddings support vector arithmetic. A classic illustration is that subtracting Man from King and adding Woman produces a vector that lies near Queen, revealing how semantic relationships are encoded in the space. What is Microsoft Fabric semantic models? In Microsoft Fabric, Power BI semantic models are a logical description of an analytical domain, with metrics, business friendly terminology, and representation, to enable deeper analysis. This semantic model is typically a star schema with facts that represent a domain, and dimensions that allow you to analyze, or slice and dice the domain to drill down, filter, and calculate different analyses #MicrosoftFabric #PowerBI #LearnPowerBI #learnmicrosoftfabric

Transformers represent words and sequences as high-dimensional vectors called embeddings. Instead of treating tokens as simple symbols, the model maps each token into a vector with hundreds or thousands of dimensions. These dimensions capture different semantic properties learned during training, allowing similar words or contexts to occupy nearby regions in this space. As the sequence passes through transformer layers, attention and feed-forward operations continuously transform these vectors, transferring information across tokens and refining their representations. By operating in this high-dimensional space, transformers have the ability and capacity to encode complex relationships between tokens. This allows transformers to understand context and generate coherent language, much better than other sequence models. Want to Learn In-Depth Machine Learning Topics?
