The demands of MomLife are real: lifting car seats, bouncing babies, breastfeeding in awkward positions, and trying to carry everything (and everyone) at once.
Add to that the physical changes from pregnancy—shifts in posture, weakened abdominals, changes in your rib cage, altered balance and it’s easy to see why postpartum strength work is essential.
Without it, many postpartum Moms experience:
- Lingering low back pain
- Neck and shoulder tension
- Pelvic floor dysfunction (leaking, heaviness, prolapse, gas loss)
- Ongoing core weakness or diastasis recti
How to Start + Build Progressively:
Postpartum rehab is not about pushing through—it’s about building up.
👉🏼Begin with 2–3 sessions per week, with just 2 sets of 8–10 reps per exercise.
👉🏼Prioritize symptom-free movement over reps or intensity.
👉🏼Use your breath: inhale to prepare, exhale to engage the core and move.
👉🏼Watch for signs to regress or pause: coning, leaking, pelvic heaviness, or pain.
