LUIt’s a shame Ray’s did not think this through. 112mm bore size on the Ray’s wheel. 106mm on stock hub. I was chasing around a vibration
felt in the steering wheel. The severity of it would come and come. I felt it in turns as well.
Spent loads of time and money chasing this around. I can no longer run the center caps but it’s worth it. You can see the amount of play the center cap has on the hub. The center cap is literally just held on by friction when the wheel is mounted. It sits around the inner lip of the wheel so it would interfere with hub centric ring.
The positive result is that the 4Runner rides much smoother now with the hub centric rings. I can’t believe it 🤦♂️
These wheels are made for the GX, Tacoma, and 4Runner. They are lug centric but I guess it’s less than ideal in this situation. Simple hub centric ring removes any play with the wheel on the hub. This was a last shot effort before pulling the trigger on new tires. 😮
