Stop overcutting your pixie when all it needs is a clean undercut. ✂️ I refreshed my sides using a #4 blade extended to keep them tight & edgy but still soft by leaving that hair half an inch long. At the nape, I established a clean #4 undercut to remove weight without looking super shaved. Undercuts are one of the easiest DIY pixie maintenance tricks because there’s no blending. You’re simply creating separation underneath, which makes this perfect for at home upkeep. Around my ears, I used a feather razor instead of clean cutting because I’m going for delicate, feminine edges not harsh lines. I also cleaned up my neck hairs with the feather razor. Then I used my thinning shears to remove bulk from the new nape undercut and even up the length so it lays better without looking choppy. If you maintain a pixie, grow out short hair, or just need your cut to feel lighter without losing shape, this is the move. What a pleasure! Lots of you ask about stick straight hair. I know her hair doesn’t look stick straight in the beginning of the video but trust me, it is. I did the last haircut as well and the grow out was about a year. That’s why you see a little bend on the ends because that’s what the razor does. I puts all this soft texture into it while carving the hair away, keeps it lying closer to the head and not sticking out everywhere which is the great fear for people with stick straight hair who want pixie Cuts. I styled using just a touch of the new Hairstory gel mixed with a tiny bit of hair oil to give flexible- touchable hold. No blow drying necessary, but I did a tiny bit just to get some water out not to style it with heat. Hope you enjoy these makeovers have been fun!

Ask your stylist for a long undercut pixie. ✂️ Here’s how to explain it: • Sides: undercut with a 4 guard, blade extended • Left side: add a second undercut about 2 inches long from the temple up to the part • Right side: 4 blade extended to the temple (I may add a second undercut here too) • Nape: 4 guard undercut to the occipital • Top: layered pixie with 4 inches at the crown and a 6 inch asymmetrical fringe Undercuts remove bulk while the longer layered top keeps the shape soft, feminine, and easy to style. Short hair people, come closer. 👀✂️ This is how I keep my pixie looking tidy. I’m shaving my nape with guards 3 and 5, doing just a soft blend so I keep weight at the occipital. That weight is key. It creates a tight V shape now and sets me up for a future undercut in the back without wrecking the silhouette. On the sides, I didn’t touch the undercut. That section sits at a little over one inch from ear to parietal ridge, and I’m keeping it soft on purpose some fun undercut ideas I have for future styling tutorials.🪄 Up top, this is an all-over layered pixie, so I only trimmed the ends. This is controlled detailing, not a full haircut. Small changes, big shape payoff. 💇🏼 If you wear a pixie, undercut, or short layered haircut, save this.
