A reading log is meant to track how many minutes you read each night. Teachers assign a log and for it to be complete, a parent signs off on it. When I was in third grade, I thought I could beat the system. “I’ll just write 20 minutes and it won’t be a big deal.” Wrong. And it became a life lesson because when we are only looking at the end goal…the process gets lost. I misunderstood what the end goal was- I thought it was a completed reading log- but the REAL goal was to learn how to read well. Players think of their end goal…getting through practice, getting through reps at home so they can move on to the next thing- when in reality, their end goals are: what we do in a game, who we sign our letter of intent with, being a ln excellent player. What does it actually take to get the results you want? 1. Understand your REAL end goal 2. Making sure your process matches that
