2. Spread with Half Windsor: The outer borders of the tie knot should meet the inner borders of the collar. Half Windsor is best option, double four in hand can work too.
3. Cutaway with full Windsor: This knot is best suited for a cutaway collar because it produces a wide, symmetrical triangle that’s ideal for formal events. It’s important to get the proportions right, and to avoid skinny ties or skinny lapels.

COTURNING TIES into fantastic fabric gives you options! The trick is to create perfectly even strips (not tie-shaped) so when placed side-by-side, the fabric looks smart and elevated. Do you have some old ties you could give new life to? Cover the back of a denim jacket? Give a favorite coat or jacket an incredible new lining (close to your heart)?! A tote bag or cushion (+ Pom-Pom trim?!). Make tops, jackets, skirt or a dress like mine! I adore the little quilted collar/bib made to complete this ensemble ♥️ & the matching @juliangarnerheadwear haloband! 🙏 Will shortly show you all the messages written by children featured along the bottom edge of the dress: ADORABLE!! When the little ones made their designs for @savethechildren (now vintage) the planets were referencing global unity, eg. “If We All Work Together” by Joshua Aged 9. We’re now also working together to SAVE the planet itself…the kids know! 🫶 If you can’t sew, still prepare the fabric yourself for a machinist - lmk if you need more info & DM me your before/afters! NAI’m 27 years old and I still can’t tie a tie. And I know I could learn, but I don’t want to. Because that would mean breaking one of the last traditions I have with my dad.
