NETransfer Day
The day we’ve waited months for (or really years if you think about how long we’ve been trying)
I woke up late (not really well rested - thanks progesterone), made it down to the breakfast buffet and managed to eat a full meal despite the nervousness, and made our way to the clinic
The nerves transitioned to excitement when we were called back into the room. Which quickly turned to defeat. The first embryo didn’t make it through the thaw (typically over a 90% success rate). This felt like a punch to the gut
The second, our best quality graded embryo, survived the thaw but wasn’t developing well. More defeat.
Our doctor suggested thawing our third and final embryo, and implanting both to optimize our chances of success.
Cole and I walked the busy streets of Athens, unsure of what to feel, trying to process what just happened while we waited for our third to thaw.
Today did not go as planned.
I cried a lot of tears over all of our chances being used up in one fell swoop.
But we’re holding out hope that we will be blessed with one, and maybe if we’re really lucky, two heart beats ❤️

Log from day 3 post transfer: time is absolutely crawling. Every single twinge or tiny cramp has made me spiral— it’s impossible to tell if it’s implantation (best case) or a side effect of the progesterone I’m taking (likeliest case) or if it’s the earliest sign of my cycle about to start again in a few days (worst case). Trying to center myself and feel gratitude for modern science and feel optimism for this short, delicate period where anything is possible. ✨

JOTransfer number five is officially done! Our little embryo upgraded from a 4AB to a 5AB, which was exciting to hear.
I celebrated the occasion with all the post-FET rituals:
✅Warm socks so my uterus stays nice and toasty
✅Pomegranate juice for the blood flow and antioxidants
✅McDonald’s fries for good luck
Is it evidence-based? No. But some things are just tradition. IYKYK

CAFeeling so GRATEFUL, HOPEFUL, and BLESSED!!! 🙏🏼 our sweet carrier is now PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise!) 🙏🏼🫶🏼😭
We are all 4 feeling good (6 counting our two sweet embabies now in her uterus!!) 😭🙏🏼 We trust Him and we feel so much peace and hope. Our carrier will now have 2 princess days where she takes it easy and gets treated like a princess 👑 and then we all just wait and pray til the blood pregnancy test in 10 days🙏🏼
🙏🏼 here’s some interesting things to know about implantation and the typical timeline when embryos stick:
Typical timeline:
• Day 0 – Transfer day
• 1 to 2 days after transfer – Embryo begins attaching to uterine lining
• 2 to 3 days after transfer – Implantation usually occurs
• By 4 to 5 days after transfer – hCG starts being produced
• 9 to 10 days after transfer – Blood pregnancy test (beta)
So most implantation happens between 1–5 days after transfer, with many around 2–3 days post-transfer. This is the time we need those prayers of faith, hope, and trust!!! 🙏🏼🫶🏼♥️ thank you so much for the prayers, we really feel them, heaven is so close to us right now and I am grateful. This was such a sacred and incredible moment. Watching yourself become pregnant is honestly mind-blowing, but also so deeply special. This moment was talked about and prayed over for more than a year, with a lot of hard decisions along the way. But I have never felt more complete than adding this little human to our family.
The IVF community has been absolutely amazing and so accepting of our different circumstances. I have never been more in awe of the women I met on this journey, fighting for their future families.
