❌ flats are cute, but don’t favor this outfit in particular
➡️ ON THE RIGHT:

If you break it down, I’m just wearing a sweater and jeans—but styling is what takes an outfit from basic and boring to intentional and put together. So no, it’s not magic… here’s what I actually did:
1. Defined my waist (on purpose):
To balance the asymmetry of the sweater and keep my proportions in check, I tucked the hem slightly under my bra edge (a side tuck works too). This shows where my waist actually is—which is especially important when you’re wearing oversized pieces, so the look feels relaxed, not sloppy.
2. Styled the denim.
I tucked one side of my jeans into slouchy boots, but a cuff or messy roll works just as well depending on your vibe. Bonus points: it also helps balance the asymmetry up top. Details matter.
3. Accessorized with intention (and a little creativity).
Instead of a necklace, I opted for vintage brooches that are similar in style, color, and shape. I also swapped a traditional belt for an unexpected option—a tie—which instantly adds interest and personality.
4. Treated outerwear like part of the outfit (because it is).
Please stop ruining good outfits with random puffers. Your coat closet should have options—wool, leather or faux leather, fur or faux fur. Yes, technical jackets have a time and place (actual arctic conditions), but they should not be your default
