They say no pregnancy is the same and I've certainly noticed that in every sense of the word between my first and second - it's been completely different in every sense of the word! 🤰🏼 Firstly, I am so grateful to be pregnant again, especially after loss - but this pregnancy has been A WILD RIDE. So now I'm nearing the end, here's some of my different experiences: 1st PREGNANCY:  I loved nearly all of it. I felt like I was blessed by Mother Nature and I felt so connected to my baby and to myself. It was lockdown, and pregnancy really let me focus on something positive during that crazy time... And I got to sleep and rest and really listen to my body.  2nd trimester was the best I have EVER felt in my life - I felt beautiful, I had so much energy, I was so excited - I bought baby clothes, and created a nursery and packed my hospital bag. 3rd trimester - my PGP got really bad to the point I could barely walk, I was constantly itchy, the ‘just you wait’ comments got to me, but I would still say fo the most part I LOVED being pregnant. 🤰🏼💓  2nd PREGNANCY:  I think loving it so much the first time round made me assume I’d love it again. But it’s been a LOT harder. It’s also gone a lot quicker! A LOT quicker! Time flies when you’re focusing on a toddler and work.  1st trimester - I was so sick. And so tired but without the ability to rest as the world was (thankfully) back up and running. and a toddler does not care if you're tired or not.  2nd trimester: This was unexpectedly the hardest time for me. Having Alf wake up at 3am for 6 weeks killed us, took me back into the grips of sleep deprivation and it’s the worst I felt mentally and physically. It made me question WHY AM I DOING THIS AGAIN. Sleep deprivation just sends your mind into a spin doesn’t it?  3rd Trimester - the best I’ve felt this pregnancy. Apart from the heartburn. Wow! That's new. It's amazing how much consistent sleep can change your entire mindset. I’ve also been seeing an osteopath which seems to be keeping my Pelvic Girdle Pain in check. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE MAGICIANS! Now I just hope that I finally get to have my own positive birth story. I'm so excited to meet her 🙏❤️

Where are all my 2024 parents-to-be?? If you are in, or past, your 2nd trimester, what type of symptoms have you experienced? ➡️ My 2nd Trimester Recap ⬅️ ✅ Gained 14 lbs (this video was taken in my third trimester where I’m up a few more lbs - as predicted when growing a healthy Baba!) ✅ Energy = great! I haven’t noticed being more tired or lethargic! Only thing that gets me are those insomnia witching hours! ✅ Pain = zero! Regular workouts, daily mobility, and frequent pelvic floor exercises are to thank! ✅ Charlee horses = yowza! That’s not a fun way to wake up! I have been supplementing nightly magnesium (which has helped) ✅ Insomnia = somebody told me that insomnia is your body’s way of prepping you for the early days of newborn life! I have a witching hour of 4-6am where I can’t fall back asleep. I have been using that time to catch up on work ✅ Minor gastro distress. The pregnancy hormones are having a number on my intestines! Thinking about trying out a probiotic! Any recs?? ✅ Fitness modifications: I am still living and loving my Le Sweat workouts and have had to modify some core/abs exercises due to coning/doming, but in general moving just as much as I was pre-pregnancy! == Pregnancy is a unique journey for each person, and everyone’s experience is different. I’m thrilled to share my own with you, along with the questions I’m asked most often. To those of you on TTC journey, know that my own journey was quite lengthy. Because of getting Covid in my 2nd trimester, my age, and baby growing a little ahead of schedule - I’ve gotten a bunch of bonus ultrasounds. We even did one just for fun so that tutu, grandpa, and the kids could experience it. Everyone told me that the 2nd trimester is the best and they were right — I love it here! The morning sickness has mostly disappeared (it’ll come randomly just like once a week), I have my energy back, and all of the anxiety I had during the first trimester is gone. During the first trimester I felt like I couldn’t TRULY feel excited until I hit 12 weeks because that’s what society tells you, and on top of that, all of the genetic testing such as the NIPT test and NT scan gave me a lot of anxiety. Now I am intentionally staying present and enjoying every moment and milestone. It’s such a beautiful journey and I feel so at peace💗🌸🌺 Dress: @houseofcb #19weeks #pregnancy
