Kobee’s, an eco-friendly lip balm brand, was pitched by Kobe Harris on Shark Tank Season 16, Episode 3 (2024), asking for $300,000 in exchange for 6% equity. At the time, the company had $1.5M in sales and $750,000 in profit, with its $5 balm costing just $0.26 to produce, numbers that caught the sharks’ attention. Kevin O’Leary offered $300,000 for 20% equity, but no deal was finalized. After the episode, sales jumped to $3.5 to $4M, and Kobe’s net worth in 2025 is estimated between $5 to $7M. You see me working for Target in this clip. But here’s what you don’t see: the 3 years of rejections before I got this booking. Target is a massive brand. They cast hundreds of kids every year across different campaigns. Most people think landing a Target job means you made it—and don’t get me wrong, I love shopping there. But working for Target? Completely different ball game. For three years, I auditioned. For three years, I didn’t book. They don’t tell you why. You just get silence. But after doing this for 7 years, I know what it means: not the right type for that campaign, not the right size they needed, not the look they were going for that season. Big brands like Target have specific visions for every single campaign. One season they need kids who look sporty. The next season they need a different height range. The campaign after that requires a completely different vibe. You don’t fit the vision? You don’t book. It’s that simple. But I kept auditioning. In Person! Which always meant driving to downtown LA for an in person audition. Year 4? I finally booked it. Since then, I’ve worked for Target 3 times. Same kid. Same talent. Different campaigns. Different timing. Persistence in this industry isn’t about being perfect—it’s about showing up until the right opportunity finds you. What’s something you kept trying for even after multiple rejections?

edit:(HOW TO FIND THE PANTS!! the brand I’m wearing is generation kiss & the quality is so bad. I got them on depop 3 years ago. In my bio there’s a link to shop my. Navigate to the insta tab & there’s a post in that section for this reel that has 11 links. there’s resale, better options, & the actual pants all linked in a range from $70-$200. The $1400 ones are real leather & handmade which is why they’re so expensive. If I had it like that, that’s what I’d get but I obv can’t afford it!) caption: Interrupting our regularly scheduled programming for a dance break. (This got 1M views on TT which is genuinely so overwhelming bc I spent 5 mins filming & editing it but I figured I’d post it here too bc wth why not 😭) AND I get to see Zara Larsson at Lollapalooza this year YAYAYAYAA #korn

During a September 3, 2003 episode of Crossfire on CNN, host Tucker Carlson asked Britney Spears a surprisingly specific question about her favorite type of Pepsi while she had a major endorsement deal with the brand. The moment instantly shifted the tone of the interview, feeling more like a pop quiz than a serious discussion. Britney answered without hesitation, confidently saying that regular Pepsi was her choice and making it clear she wasn’t interested in Diet Pepsi. The quick, straightforward reply made the exchange memorable, showing how effortlessly she handled the situation and reminding viewers that even under pressure, she knew exactly how to stand her ground. Nikhil Kamath asked Raj Shamani a simple question: “How much did brand deals pay you in the beginning?” The answer was anything but simple. Raj started creating content in Indore. In just 3 months, he hit 50,000 followers. He scaled it to 300K. Then came his first brand deal — ₹70,000 from UpGrad. That one deal gave him the courage to move to Mumbai. He stayed in a hotel for 10 days. During those 10 days, he didn’t wait — he DM’d brands on Instagram. KEI Wires. PolicyBazaar / insurance brands. Amazon. From just 3 deals, he made ₹9 lakhs. That ₹9 lakh didn’t buy luxury. It bought runway — 6 months to survive, build, and grow in Mumbai. And then Raj dropped the real gem for creators: If you’re starting out, pitch to B2B brands before D2C. This is not luck. This is strategy, speed, and execution. When founders Jung Song and Dok Kwon pitched Cupbop — a fast-casual Korean BBQ in a cup concept — on Shark Tank Season 13, they asked for $1 million for 3% equity, valuing the brand at about $33.3 million. Cupbop started as a food truck in Utah and had grown to dozens of brick-and-mortar locations, with predicted annual sales of around $18.7 million at the time of the pitch. The Sharks were blown away by the food and the numbers. Every Shark made an offer — including Kevin O’Leary with a $1M loan and Robert Herjavec with a $5M for 28% equity — but Cupbop ultimately struck a deal with Mark Cuban: $1 million for 5% equity on air. Since Shark Tank, Cupbop continued expanding rapidly. The chain now operates dozens of U.S. locations across multiple states, has 150+ stores in Indonesia, and has been opening new spots from Utah to Texas and beyond. Annual systemwide sales are reported in the tens of millions, with aggressive growth and franchising plans as the brand aims to bring Korean BBQ cups nationwide. 👉 Would you try Korean BBQ served in a cup over traditional bowls or plates? ✅ Follow @peakinsighthq for more Shark Tank breakdowns and founder stories 🦈
