ROSometimes you have to bounce between a few programs to get the result you’re chasing.
This job needed a bit of a workaround to reverse-engineer a hollow part that the scanner couldn’t fully capture internally. By taping up the ends, we scanned it as a “solid” body, then brought the mesh into Meshmixer to hollow it back out. From there, it was converted to an STL and imported into CAD to clean up the geometry and reopen the required sections.
Not always a straight line — but problem-solving like this is what makes complex parts possible.
