I dreamt of seeing pumas in the Peruvian Amazon—but there was a different surprise in store for me during my time in Tambopata. While staying at Refugio Amazonas @rainforestexpeditions in Tambopata National Reserve. I was lucky enough to witness my first wild anaconda during my three week trip to the Peruvian Amazon. Being able to observe this apex predator lie still and silently almost hidden in a stream just off the main footpath in its watery realm. Trying to find photograph jt was a bit challenging due to the light under the rainforest canopy considering where it was and not getting too close and disturbing it. These aren’t the best photos / videos but it’s the moment I’d like to share. Anacondas are the ultimate stealth giants—very few creatures command such raw respect just by their sheer presence. The green anaconda (Eunectes murinus) is the largest and heaviest snake in the world, a true giant of the Amazon’s rivers and flooded forests. Perfectly adapted to its aquatic environment, it moves with stealth and power, preying on capybaras, caimans, and other large animals. As an apex predator and biological indicator, its presence signals a thriving, balanced ecosystem—making every wild sighting a rare and profound reminder of the Amazon’s untamed wilderness. There is beauty is seeing things the way they are, without being edited, without the perfect shot and with the rawness in which you see them, just like this anaconda. This video showed the size and length well. My hand was shaking terribly as I was in a very akward position ! #Anaconda #GreenAnaconda #AnacondaSighting #AmazonWildlife #PeruvianAmazon #Tambopata #RefugioAmazonas #WildlifePhotography #JungleEncounter #AmazonRainforest #WildlifeFilmmaking #NatureLovers #IntoTheWild #AmazonConservation #WildlifeOfPeru #RainforestAdventure #AnacondaInTheWild #Amazonia #WildPeru #SnakeEncounter #AmazonJungle #EcotourismPeru #ApexPredator #TambopataReserve #AmazonExplorer

💥🕷🙋‍♂️ This is NOT AI. Meet Henrietta the Goliath bird eating Tarantula🕷 The largest speices of spider in the world, coming from the rainforest regions of northern South America. These amazing but fierce preadators contrary to their name, mostly feed on insects, small lizards and rodents and very rarely predate on birds. They have a fierce attitude, but then you would living life in the Amazon jungle. Their venom is not medically significant to humans but they do have rather large fangs in their arsenal as well as urticating hairs which are barbed and designed to cause effect the eyes and mouth of would be threats. 🙋‍♂️ Despite this girl looking big and scary, she like all spiders are far more frightened of us than we are of them. They prefer to be left alone alot of the time, but as she was being moved into her new home I thought id let you see her. Whilst spiders may terrify alot of you, they are very much needed in today's society to keep the preadator prey balance in check. If you have any questions about her or want to let us know what you think, let us know in the comments below❓️😳🕷🙋‍♂️🌎🕸 P.s thanks to @davys_pets for this beautiful specimen. Venom defender gloves by @snakeprofessional 🙋‍♂️ Whilst it is not recommended to handle bird eaters we have worked with a few over the years and do it in as stress free way as possible. #wow #spider #birdeater #goliath #checkitout

Follow for daily content:-@culdwar.io The video shows a goat-like animal with a face featuring unusually human-like proportions and features, standing and shifting its weight on a steep, rocky slope amid sparse vegetation and uneven ground reportedly located in the Amazon jungle. The clip surfaces within the broader social and economic context of the region’s ongoing pressures from agricultural expansion, resource extraction, and habitat fragmentation, factors that have drawn greater scrutiny to wildlife anomalies and undocumented species interactions in remote forested zones. The daily reality depicted is that of an animal independently navigating difficult natural terrain without any visible human intervention, equipment, or infrastructure, simply moving through its immediate environment as part of routine wildlife behavior in isolated jungle areas. This is why you should think twice before swimming with pink dolphins in the Amazon…👇🏻🐬 📥 SHARE this with someone planning a trip to the Amazon so they can be aware! 📬 Follow @passportarchives so YOU can discover bucket list experiences & destinations! 🚨 Note: We only joined this tour because we wanted to see the Meeting of the Waters, and the only boat tours we found that go to that exact point in the river also included the dolphin stop, lunch, and other activities. We did not participate in swimming. What this looks like online… isn’t always reality:⬇️ 🐬 Pink Dolphin “Experiences” It looks like a once-in-a-lifetime, magical wildlife moment… But most of these tours are far from natural 🍽️ They’re being fed Dolphins are baited with fish, so they stay near platforms This disrupts their natural hunting behavior and can make them dependent on humans 🤲 Constant human contact Tourists are encouraged to touch them This can stress the animals, damage their skin, and even spread disease 🚤 Overcrowded + unnatural environment Large floating barges with hundreds of people Dolphins are often surrounded, handled, and conditioned to interact ⚠️ Changes their behavior When dolphins get used to humans, they lose natural instincts They’re more likely to approach boats, get injured, or struggle to survive in the wild 🌎 They’re already vulnerable Pink river dolphins are considered endangered in many areas, with populations declining due to pollution, habitat loss, and human activity 💸 Mass tourism setup Queues, quick rotations, and souvenir stands All for around $10 to $15 per person 😕 What that really means This isn’t a wild encounter It’s a controlled, tourist-driven experience built for volume, not the animals 🌿 A better way to experience the Amazon Look for ethical tours where wildlife is observed, not fed or touched Seeing dolphins naturally, in the wild, is rarer… and way more meaningful Not everything that looks magical online tells the full story 📌 Save this so you can travel more responsibly in the Amazon! #Amazon #pinkdolphin #amazonjungle #unethical #tourism
