2 people + 1 tiny tent = biggest memories ever.
We realised you don’t “see” Norway…

How cool is it to be able to travel around europe so freely without catching a single flight? Interrailing is such a good option for budget travellers and allows you to get a taste of all these incredible cities.
While we were only in each place for a short amount of time, it meant a that we could get a good taster and then we’d know if we’d want to come back and stay longer in some of these places. For others, a 2 day/1 night were enough.
Not to mention overland travel is FAR more earth friendly than hopping on a flight PLUS I love taking the train and watching the world go by!

💰 Cost: Trip costs can vary a lot depending on season, travel style, destinations, activities, food, and when you book. To give you a rough idea, the prices in this reel are the average daily cost per person (excluding flights from India).
We travelled to Europe in summer (the priciest time!) and our daily budget as mid-range travellers was around €115–150 per person (~INR 10,000–14,000).
☀️ Best time to go: Shoulder months — April, May, June, September, and October. Not completely crowd-free, but definitely less than July–August.
📑 Visa: Schengen visas allow a max stay of 90 days in a 180-day period. Not all European countries are in the Schengen zone, so you can mix Schengen and non-Schengen countries if you like. A multi-entry visa works best in that case.
We applied for a 72-day multi-entry visa on our first try (all agents told us to only try for 7 days 😂) — and we got still it! 💃
Tips:
Your cover letter matters — make it detailed. Explain why you want to go and subtly show you’ll return home after your trip.
A financial breakdown can help, though it’s not mandatory. Attach proof to show you can cover your costs.
