BIDon’t take down your 🐦 feeders!
The bird flu is a real worry…but not to songbirds. The current strain is impacting colonial nesting seabirds and waterfowl like geese & cranes.
You can safely feed your backyard birds UNLESS you are also a poultry farmer, in that case it’s best to not mix the two.
In this time of bird diligence, make sure you are keeping your feeders clean. Watch this video to see my method in keeping my feeders safe from bacteria and contamination.
The feeders featured in my backyard are all from @bromesquirrelbuster and my recommendation as the best feeders out there!

THSay hi to our 10 new pets!
We likely won’t be keeping all 10 of them, it’ll depend on what happens when we can finally tell the males from the females. For now, these are our 10 coturnix quail!
We’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time and the stars aligned this year with us getting our own house in an area where we’re allowed to have backyard birds.
The dogs have been interested but have calmed down quite a bit. This has been great “leave it” practice! They’re used to leaving animals in containers alone (our geckos are never bothered) so once they’re used to hearing the birds I’m willing to bet they’ll forget they’re there.
What do you think? Are we feeling occasional quail content?
