RAসেযুগে একটা প্রশ্ন খুব উঠত যে, ঈশ্বর সাকার না নিরাকার ? ঈশ্বর সর্বব্যাপী, তিনি কি করে একটা মূর্তিতে আবদ্ধ হবেন ?—এই প্রশ্ন করতেন অনেকে । স্বামী দয়ানন্দ, যিনি আর্যসমাজ প্রতিষ্ঠা করলেন, তাঁর সম্বন্ধে একটা গল্প শোনা যায় । তিনি তো নিরাকারবাদী ছিলেন—কিন্তু প্রথমে তিনি সাকার মানতেন । তাঁর যখন অল্প বয়স, তখন তিনি একবার শিবরাত্রির উপোস করেছেন । মন্দিরে তিনি একা আছেন । মাঝ রাত্রি । হঠাৎ দেখেন কি যে, সেই শিবলিঙ্গের গায়ে ইঁদুর উঠেছে আর শিবের জন্য যে ভোগ নিবেদন করা হয়েছে, ইঁদুরে সেটা খাচ্ছে । এই দেখে তাঁর মূর্তিপুজোর প্রতি অশ্রদ্ধা এসে গেল : শিব নিশ্চয়ই ঐ শিলার মধ্যে নেই । থাকলে ইঁদুর এসে এইভাবে তাঁর ভোগ খেয়ে যেতে পারত না । সেই থেকে তিনি নিরাকারবাদী হয়ে গেলেন। কিন্তু ঠাকুর বলছেন যে, সাকার নিরাকার দুই-ই সত্য । কারণ নিরাকারই সাকার হন । ব্রহ্ম নিরাকার, কিন্তু ভক্তের জন্য তিনি সাকার হন । বলছেন : তিনি নিরাকার আবার সাকার । ভক্তের জন্য তিনি সাকার । যারা জ্ঞানী অর্থাৎ জগৎকে যাদের স্বপ্নবৎ মনে হয়েছে, তাদের পক্ষে তিনি নিরাকার ।

Our beautiful culture has Instilled & inculcated many ideas & practices through rituals that help us understand many things that are integral for us to live a holistic life that is in harmony with everything around us.
Kumari puja is celebrated in order to signify that Maa Durga or rather the power of Maa Durga prevails in every women and they must be respected like the Divine mother.
Kumari Puja was initiated at Belur Math by Swami Vivekananda in 1899 as a mark of respect to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa who believed that little girls were manifestations of the divine mother.
Fortunate to have experienced this 🙏🏼it was so easy to see divine in that little girl

Feel so fortunate to be born a Bharatheeya and to have visited the extraordinary Ramakrishna Math, the Belur Math at Kolkata.We were blessed by his holiness Srimat Swami Gauthamanandaji Maharaj-President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.His unparalleled wisdom and comforting words were highly inspiring and enlightening. It was from his blessing hands and Dr.Padma Subrahmaniam’s blessings that we received the
“Nrithya Choodamani” award conferred by Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.
We also visited some places in and around the Belur Math relating to Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Mother Sharadevi and their disciples.
The Kali temple at Dakshineshwar was simply purifying.
Deeply grateful to my family members Usha, Raja Hebbar & Renu for taking us there.
Special thanks to Srimat Yadavendrananda Swamiji for all his kind support in making our visit an uplifting experience.
