Things I go without so I can wake up at 4am. 1. Stopped doom scrolling before bed I was mindlessly scrolling telling myself it helped me switch off. I cut that shit out and my brain finally had space to shut down properly. 2. I stopped going to bed at 9:30pm I was barely getting 6 hours once I actually fell asleep. I moved bedtime to 8:30pm, and that single change decides how my morning goes. 3. I stopped eating right before bedtime I used to eat right before bed to cram in as much protein as possible. Turns out my sleep was way better when my last meal was a few hours earlier. 4. Caffeine past midday I was leaning on caffeine to get through the afternoon. I cut it after midday and my sleep improved almost immediately. 5. I stopped making excuses I was always finding some bullshit reason why it wouldn’t work. I stopped coddling myself and held the fucking standard. Waking up at 4am isn’t about being extreme. It’s about sleep. Get 6–8 hours consistently and mornings stop feeling like a fight.
