To get here, go to -33.6570509, 150.3242108. Then follow the off shoot from the main path. Go as far as you feel confident to do - it can be cold and can involve swims, so it’s best done with a wet suit. Can you believe this is NOT the Blue Mountains!? 🤯 (Follow @thetravellingkangaroos for more daily travel content ✈️) Waterfalls in Australia never cease to amaze us, and this one seriously blew us away. This waterfall is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in NSW, plunging over 100 metres and making it one of the tallest in the state. Our favourite part is the stunning two tiered waterfall that plunges deep into the valley 😍 It’s only around 2 hours from Sydney, making it the perfect stop on a NSW road trip or an easy, cruisy weekend drive 🚘 📍 Belmore Falls, NSW 👉🏻 There are two lookouts to view the falls. Keep walking past the first one. The second lookout is less than a five minute walk further along and gives you completely unobstructed views of the waterfall! 📌 Send this to someone you want to visit here with 🥰

He was definitely beat up and injured spending some days in hospital afterwards. Caution ⛔️ : DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS. There was a safety team present however there was a considerable amount of injuries sustained. These included a fractured back, fractured skull, concussion and burst ear drum. 📸 : Imagine the jumper had a GoPro, the POV would of been intense. @goproanz #lostmtns

A bit of effort is needed, plus crossing through ‘the freezer’ definitely adds some spice. The ending though is like a scene from a hollywood fantasy film. 🛑 You NEED to read this before you go! Honestly? I was seconds away from just sitting down in the dirt and don’t hike further! After the last km on this trail, my legs were completely done! So we completely underestimated this hike 🙈 The natural infinity pools on the top of this waterfall are dreamy (bring swim clothes) but the end of the trail is way harder than most people expect. 📍 Fortress Creek Falls Trail | Blue Mountains 💬 COMMENT „Pool“ and we’ll send you our hiking guide with directions & safety tips. But here are the summary: 📌 Before we jump in, make sure to SAVE this for your own adventure so you don’t get lost! Believe us you’ll NEED these tips! What you need to know: • It’s longer than AllTrails says (we tracked ~9.8 km) • It’s ranked Grade 5 in Australia • Very rocky, uneven & technical • The last kilometer is the hardest (steep downhill, no official trail, technical) The view and pools are unreal 🥹 But please don’t take this hike too easy— especially if you’re not used to steep, technical trails! Would you do a Grade 5 hike to reach this spot? — We’re Van & Raph — a couple from Germany who moved to 🇦🇺 We share bucket list places, road trips & guides across Australia so you’re best prepared for your own adventures! June 2025. Blue Mountains, Australia. 21-year-old Vali Graham stands atop Minnehaha Falls — 42 meters high, taller than a 14-story building. He’s here to break the world record. The current “death dive” record is 41.7 meters. Vali wants to surpass it. To make history. He jumps. The fall lasts less than three seconds. He hits the water at roughly 100 km/h. But something goes wrong. Vali enters the water at the wrong angle — not vertically, but in a “pike” position. The impact is immense. At that speed, water is harder than concrete. He suffers multiple injuries: a broken spine, fractured sternum, skull fracture near the ear, and a ruptured eardrum. He blacks out from the impact. He begins to sink. Miraculously, he comes to under the water. Disoriented, unsure of up or down, he instinctively starts swimming and surfaces. Friends on shore scream and run to him. Vali somehow swims to the edge. He climbs out. Broken spine, fractured sternum, skull injuries — yet he is on his feet. He walks a kilometer to the car. With a broken spine. Friends rush him to the hospital. Doctors can’t believe their eyes — such injuries, and he’s walking? Impossible. He undergoes major surgery on his spine and chest. Two days later, he is up and walking again. Technically, Vali exceeded the world record height: 42 meters, more than 41.7. But the jump wasn’t recognized. His entry technique broke the rules — disqualifying the attempt. No record.
