OZBronze whalers (Carcharhinus brachyurus) are a large shark that are typically found in shallow coasts inshore to a depth of around 100 meters, offshore in warm temperate coastal and continental shelf waters of the Atlantic, Indo-Pacific Oceans, and the Mediterranean Sea. These sharks are beautiful animals and don’t pose too much of a threat to humans if respected and unprovoked. Bronze whalers are classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) on their Red List of Threatened Species! It’s time to stop illegal shark hunting and put an end to useless shark nets!
