this is real and very recent (March 2026), but it's not a blanket "ban evervwhere." It's a planned policy change by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to regulate where street vending can happen. What's being proposed • The government plans to stop street vending on main roads and sub-main roads in Benaaluru. • Footpaths and busy roads are to be cleared to improve pedestrian movement and reduce congestion. • Vendors will instead be moved to designated vending zones or specific streets. #BangaloreNews #StreetVendors #UrbanPolicy #CityPlanning #publicspace

The Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has proposed replacing the existing lines, which are corroding and causing leakages and water contamination. The work, likely to begin after Republic Day, may continue for several months. The BWSSB will lay water and sanitary lines on both sides, between Brigade Road and Trinity Circle. Towards Anil Kumble Circle, only one side will be dug up, as there are no establishments on the opposite side. The water board is expected to acquire about 10 feet of road space — roughly one lane — on each side for the work. The BWSSB finalised the action plan after the Bengaluru Central City Corporation decided to white-top MG Road (2.2 km) at a cost of Rs 45 crore. Both works are interconnected. The water board can only take up the replacement before the white-topping project — approved in June last year — begins. Source: Deccan Herald

Yes⁉️ this is real and very recent (March 2026), but it’s not a blanket “ban everywhere.” It’s a planned policy change by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to regulate where street vending can happen. 🧾 What’s being proposed • The government plans to stop street vending on main roads and sub-main roads in Bengaluru. • Footpaths and busy roads are to be cleared to improve pedestrian movement and reduce congestion. • Vendors will instead be moved to designated vending zones or specific streets. ⚠️ Important nuance • This is not a total ban on street vendors • It’s a relocation + regulation policy: • ❌ No vending on major roads/footpaths • ✅ Allowed in designated zones 🧠 Bottom line The GBA isn’t eliminating street vending—it’s trying to organize it better by: • freeing up footpaths and key roads, and • shifting vendors into structured, approved spaces. #BangaloreNews #StreetVendors #UrbanPolicy #CityPlanning #PublicSpace TrafficIssues FootpathEncroachment VendorRights

Bengaluru may soon see London-style congestion charges to tackle rising traffic. The 5th State Finance Commission (2026-2030) has recommended FASTag-based congestion pricing on busy corridors like Outer Ring Road, along with a stronger pay-and-park system under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). The move aims to regulate vehicle flow, reduce pollution, and boost public transport infrastructure. #BengaluruTraffic #CongestionCharge #FASTag #UrbanMobility #Bengaluru #TrafficManagement #PublicTransport #UrbanPlanning #OuterRingRoad #CityInfrastructure

Taxi drivers and Kannada activists protested at Kempegowda International Airport against the new parking rules for pre-booked cabs. They said the rules are causing trouble for both drivers and passengers, as people now have to walk nearly 800 metres to reach their taxis. Police later stopped the protest. Many passengers at the airport are unhappy with the new rules. The long walk is difficult, especially for elderly people, families, and those carrying luggage. Travellers are questioning why the rules were changed without proper planning for passenger convenience. 👉 Follow @bengaluru_loops for more Instant viral news and updates around bengaluru

Relocation of 103 poorly placed bus stops that currently cause congestion near junctions. Repairs at 137 waterlogging spots before the monsoon to prevent disruptions.
