THThinking about getting a new piercing? Here’s how they stack up from easiest to hardest to heal ⬇️ (Remember: healing time and process can vary from person to person!)
✨ Easiest to Heal
1. Lobe: The gold standard for beginners. Soft tissue = quick healing and minimal drama.
2. Conch: Tucked in and protected, but can be tricky to clean due to its location.
3. Flat: Sits on the outer cartilage, easy to clean and not too fussy. Just don’t sleep on it.
💫 Moderate Healing
4. Mid-Helix: Classic placement with a solid track record. Can get irritated if you sleep on it, but manageable.
5. Upper Helix: Similar to mid-helix but slightly more prone to snagging or pressure. Still doable with good aftercare & be sure to downsize!
6. Tragus: Small but mighty. Heals fairly easily with consistent care—just avoid earbuds and you’re golden.
7. Faux Rook: Looks amazing, but healing can be slow due to its angle and location. Still easier than a true rook!
🔥 Hardest to Heal
8. Forward Helix: Stylish but finicky—this one sits close to your face and is prone to irritation from hair, hats, or glasses.
9. Daith: Heals well for some, tricky for others. Hidden placement means less irritation, but harder to reach for cleaning.
10. Rook: A deep, angled cartilage piercing = more healing time and more opportunities for irritation. Be ready for a commitment (9–12+ months).
