The New York Times could have released the Cesar Chavez expose on Monday or Tuesday or Thursday or Friday but no they chose to release it on the same day as the UFW march. Coincidence? I don’t know but something doesn’t feel right. The survivors are not political pawns. They deserve justice. They deserved for the world to hear their stories for decades now. And now that the story is out we need to hold all those people and organizations that protected Cesar Chavez’ name and silenced those children accountable.
